Leaders are pleased to welcome Deloitte as an exclusive sponsor of the prestigious Leaders Under 40 Award, as part of the Leaders Sports Awards in a three-year collaboration agreement.
The Leaders Under 40 Award was established in 2015 with the core mission of recognizing industry executives aged under 40 who continue to push boundaries in sport. Now returning for its eighth consecutive year in 2022, the Leaders Under 40 Alumni is comprised of 192 award-winning executives, spanning 29 countries globally.
With a diverse network of previous winners from the likes of Amazon, City Football Group, DAZN, FIFA, Formula 1, Google, Meta, Miami Heat, NBA, New Zealand Rugby Union, Nike, Roc Nation, Twitter, WWE and many more available to view here, this continually evolving Alumni provides a community of excellence within the sport business industry.
Over the last 30 years, Deloitte’s Sports Business Group has worked with clients in over 40 countries across more than 30 different sports to enable change, enhance market value and capture new growth opportunities.
This has included supporting major sports transactions, facilitating client investment through M&A and providing strategic, commercial, financial, and regulatory advisory services to governing sports bodies, national associations, clubs and other sports organisations.
Leaders’ Managing Director, Laura McQueen, commented: “We’re delighted to be working alongside Deloitte in what promises to be an integral collaboration to continue the development of the Leaders Under 40 Award and community. Deloitte’s sponsorship is a natural fit given their longstanding commitment in the sports industry and ambitions of sustained impact, particularly in driving equity, diversity and inclusion within the industry. Their ambitions align seamlessly with the core purpose and values of Leaders and the Leaders Under 40 Awards.”
Commenting on the sponsorship agreement, Tim Bridge, Director in the Sports Business Group at Deloitte, said: “Sports leaders today are pioneering incredible new strategies and technologies to boost the power of sport across society. These initiatives hold the potential to enhance engagement with sport, creating a new era of phenomenal players and clubs, while building a more inclusive and gender-equal industry. The Leaders Under 40 programme is an amazing network of the trailblazers creating this change across continents and we’re looking forward to working closely with this new generation of industry leaders to build the future of sport and ensure that it brings value to all businesses, communities and individuals.”
